Rev. John L. ubel
Pastor
A native of St. Paul, Fr. John Ubel was ordained a priest in 1989. He has served as associate pastor of St. Joseph in West St. Paul, co-director of the archdiocesan Vocation Office, chaplain at St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, and at the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity. For the last 12 years he served as Rector of the Cathedral of Saint Paul. This is his second term at Saint Agnes, having served here from 2006-2012.
Rev. Paul Baker
Parochial Vicar
Fr. Baker grew up in our archdiocese and was ordained in May of 2017. Upon his ordination, Fr. Baker served at St. Vincent DePaul in Brooklyn Park and as a chaplain at Totino Grace High School. Since 2019 he has been an assistant priest at Epiphany in Coon Rapids. Fr. Baker’s assignment at Saint Agnes includes assisting with the pastoral needs of the parish, serving as the chaplain for our school, and teaching theology courses.
Rev. James McConville
Sacramental Minister
Following his graduation from Saint Paul Seminary with a Masters in Divinity, Father was ordained a priest in 1990. In 2006, he earned his JCL (licentiate in canon law) and served over ten years as Adjutant Judicial Vicar for the archdiocesan Metropolitan Tribunal. Fr. McConville has an honorable military career as U.S. Army Chaplain and previously worked as a distinguished teacher, pastor, and he is a notable musician with a fine appreciation for sacred music and opera.
Deacon Nathan Allen
The son of Protestant missionaries, Deacon Allen was raised in Japan and discovered the Catholic faith while in college. He was eventually received into full communion with the Catholic Church. Ordained a deacon in 2000, he is married with three children. A lawyer by training, Deacon worked for Minnesota House of Representatives, and currently serves as judge for the Metropolitan Tribunal.
